Longer custody for youth accused of raping his sisters

SUNGAI PETANI (29/07/2017): A jobless 18-year-old (pic) suspected of raping his three younger sisters is being remanded for six more days pending full medical reports on the sisters.
Magistrate Farid Abdul Latif granted the extension till Aug 2 on the youth, who had been in the lockup for seven days from last Saturday.
The youth surrendered to police on July 21 and is under investigation for incest under Section 376B of the Penal Code.
On July 20, his eight-year-old sister told their 39-year-old mother that he forced himself on her in an empty house at about 8pm a day earlier.
She was warned not to tell anyone or he would beat her up.
Two more sisters, aged nine and 14, then confessed to have been raped too.
It is learnt there are 12 children in the family. Their father is a labourer while their mother is a housewife.
State CID Chief Senior Asst Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid confirmed that a medical examination on two of the sisters aged eight and 14 showed they had tears in their genitals. But no tear wounds were found on the nine-year-old.
