Supermarket loses RM 40,000 kept in office's safe.


BAHAU --- The owner of a supermarket in Taman Mahsan, Bahau, suffered a loss of RM 40,000 when the premise was broken into, at 4.00am, Wednesday.

Jempol district police chief, Superintendent Noorzainy Mohd Noor said that the incident was only realized at 8.50am when the supermarket staff was about to open their premises and star their workday.

One of the staff opened that back door of the premise but found that the door was spoilt.

Investigations indicate that three suspects broke into the supermarket via the ceiling. They then broke into the office area and the metal safe where the money was kept.

The police has surveyed the CCTV recordings. The also found 4 fingerprints at the scene of the location.

The suspects are believed to have fled through the back door which they had broken down.

The case will be investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
