Toddler found safe after car theft incident

PETALING JAYA@28 JULY 2015 --- A fourteen-month-old toddler who was abducted during a car theft near a shopping complex in Subang Jaya has been found. She was found by a petrol station worker in her baby seat by the roadside. Last Saturday, the 14-month-old girl’s uncle Niezam Petrelli posted on his Facebook account that his niece had been kidnapped near Subang Parade at around 10pm. He said his 25-year-old brother-in-law had just parked his wife’s car in front of a restaurant when an unidentified man drove the vehicle away. He had just stepped out of his vehicle to call his wife when he noticed a white Perodua MyVi driving nearby. In the car were a couple and two children. The next thing he knew, the man drove away the vehicle with the child in it. A source said at the time of the incident, the girl’s father had left the girl in the car with the engine running to call his wife. A man reportedly drove away in the vehicle with the child still in it. On Monday, the suspect had dropped off the girl near a petrol station in Glenmarie the same night.
